  • What TO DO before an appointment:
Exfoliate your eyebrows or lips every day for 3 days before the appointment. Notify your artist of any medications you take, and consult your physician if needed. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER and rest prior to your appointment! Your skin will thank you for it.
  • What NOT TO DO before an appointment:
No caffeine 36 hours before your appointment!! This is EXTREMELY important. This causes bleeding. No alcohol 24 hours before the appointment and after. No Tylenol, Advil, pain killers, Ibuprofen, Dayquil, cough syrup, or sleep meds, 24 hours prior, this makes the skin sensitive, and extreme redness will occur. No smoking vaping/marijuana/cigarettes before your appointment, this also causes bleeding. No workouts before your appointment, this allows the pores to open up causing more sensitivity and redness. Avoid any workouts or taking a hot steamy shower right before the appointment. Your artist.,h will groom your eyebrows, you do not need to worry about this. Do not tint/wax your eyebrows 3 days prior. No botox or fillers 2-3 weeks before or after your appointment.
  • What to expect:
Your artist will also provide an aftercare kit/instructions. There will be some tenderness and mild swelling after the procedure. Most clients can proceed to work/school after the appointment. Redness/tenderness should subside the same day and varies depending on sensitivity of the skin. Aftercare instructions may be adjusted to each client based on how the skin tolerates the service. Keep any topical products on the treated areas (makeup, lotion, creams, gel, toners, alcohol, balms, etc.) Unless directed by your technician. Avoid over packing the area with the ointment provided. Please check with your artist prior to using any other ointments. You MUST keep the treated area (wound) clean and allow the skin to breathe. Hours after the session, you’ll need to blot the area with warm water every 30 mins -1 hour, for the next 4 hours. When the peeling and exfoliation presents, do not pick, rub, or scratch the areas. Keep the treated areas away from sun exposure. The sun can damage skin cells and will change the color of your pigment. Wash your hands and use clean q-tips to apply the ointment. Avoid using your hands! Avoid the following for the next 7-10 days: Saunas Swimming pools/beaches/jacuzzis Gym or workouts, hot yoga/pilates Facials, tanning beds Outside activities including sweating Makeup on the treated area Lotions, creams, toners, etc. Heavy medications Alcohol 24 hours after and before No tinting of the brows, only after the touch up is healed Hair dye must be done 2-3 weeks prior, or after the touch up is healed No botox, fillers, microdermabrasion, 3 weeks prior/after Avoid dust/strong winds
